Spreewald excursion tips

In order to enjoy a well-rounded holiday, we would be happy to recommend other leisure activities and excursion destinations in the region. For example, visit Burg, the largest village in Europe in terms of area, or Straupitz with the imposing Schinkelkirche and the only functional triple mill.

Anyone who would like to follow in the footsteps of the Slavs or would like to learn more about life in the Spreewald more than 100 years ago is well advised to take a trip to the Slav Castle in Raddusch and the museum village in Lehde.

For families we recommend a trip to the Spreewald towns of Lübben and Lübbenau, to the Spreewelten-Bad Lübbenau or to Tropical-Islands – the largest tropical holiday world in Europe, where the temperature is 26 °C all year round and you can also lie on the beach in winter be able.
